Die brandneue Horseware Amigo CamoFly-Reihe ist ein neuer Ansatz für den Fliegenschutz, der Druck- und Farbtechnologie nutzt.
Das einfarbige Muster könnte eine einfache Möglichkeit sein, Pferde zu schützen, indem es Fliegen davon abhält, auf ihrem Körper zu landen. Die geschichteten schwarzen Linien auf grauem Hintergrund erzeugen eine optische Täuschung im Auge einer Fliege. Es bricht die Form des Pferdes auf, sodass Insekten Schwierigkeiten haben, es als Ziel zu identifizieren.
Wie funktioniert es?
- Untersuchungen darüber, wie Fliegen auf Zebras und ihre Streifen reagieren, deuten darauf hin, dass die monochromen Streifen Fliegen verwirren, da sie als natürliche Abschreckung für das Insekt dienen.
- Basierend auf diesem Prinzip haben wir ein maßgeschneidertes monochromatisches Muster erstellt, das speziell dafür entwickelt wurde, Pferde vor lästigen Insekten und Fliegen zu schützen.

How to measure
Horses of the same height at the wither come in many shapes and sizes, so take your horse's measurements:
- Using a soft measuring tape, measure from (A), the centre of the chest, across the point of the shoulder to (B), the centre of the tail.
- Take 10cm (4 inches) off that measurement and find your horse's size in the table below.

Which rug style suits my horse?
- Straight front: for an average build, a classic neck cut, or a V-Front for extra comfort.
- V-Front: for a deep-shouldered, narrow horse, a Surefit design with V-Front closure.
- Disc front: for a narrow-chested horse, a rug with the Disc Front closure.
- XL: for a deep-shouldered horse with a deep neck and wide build. The XL cut is 20% deeper in the neck and sides.
- Optimo: the same broad build can also go for Optimo rugs, which give the most freedom of movement.
- Wug: for high-withered, narrow horses, the Wug® reduces wither pressure. For very narrow or young horses, Wug® or All-In-One designs help the rug fit and stop it slipping.
