Shires Karben Air5 Vest

The Shires Karben Air5 Vest is a premium air vest for riders who want advanced upper-body protection in a fall. Built with Karben's SPARK technology and certified to the NF S72-800:2022 airbag vest standard, it inflates fully within 0.2 seconds of the rider parting company with the horse.

Its airbags are placed to protect the neck, chest, back, hips and torso, with an enlarged neck airbag for extra support around the cervical spine and shock-absorbing foam built into the front for further impact protection. A mechanical activation system with a one-click saddle connector makes it quick to attach and release, and the adjustable internal waist belt gives a secure, comfortable fit without restricting movement.

After a deployment the vest is quickly reset with a new Karben CO2 Air Vest Cartridge (sold separately; only original Karben cartridges can be used). Lightweight and hard-wearing, it suits training and competition, and comes with an elasticated saddle strap and an Allen key.
