The KONNEX bit combines the effect of a ported bar and the positive characteristics of the butterfly bar. The profile of the beris KONNEX bar is slimmer, it positions itself very comfortably in the horse’s mouth, provides more room and the port is also clearly wider in the beris KONNEX bar. It is suitable for horses with little space in their mouth, e.g. thoroughbred type horses, or older horses (due to changes in dentition), horses with larger tongues and especially ones that cannot tolerate too much pressure on parts of the tongue. The loose ring means a greater mobility of the bit in the mouth. The snaffle bit is therefore a bit for horses that prefer a "more mobile" bit in their mouth. The ring runs very evenly in the copper sockets and, due to the better durability, increases the working life of the bit considerably.

The protection of the horse's sensitive mouth is most important to beris. From bit ring to the complicated cheekpiece: every metal part is shaped by hand, welded and polished to perfection.
The innovative design of the mouthpiece also ensures a better acceptance of the bit and facilitates subtle communication between horse and rider. The beris mouthpieces are made of a food safe plastic compound, processed and with a surface finish unequalled so far in the field of plastic bits. Their surface is particularly smooth and they slide easily in the mouth, even if the horse doesn´t produce much saliva. Practically all horses like the beris mouthpieces.
