Since the Neue Schule Show Pelham snaffle ring is designed to turn freely, it slightly reduces poll pressure, allowing the rider to differentiate to a greater degree between reins, and subsequently allows more lift from the shoulder than the traditional Pelham. This action is also beneficial for horses that tend to overbend in a curb.
